About Us
Overview:
The RFCS provides free, impartial and confidential financial counselling to help farmers, fishers and agriculture-dependent small businesses in their decision making.
Rural Financial Counselling Service NSW Central West Inc. (RFCS-CW) was established in November 2006 and receives core funding from the Commonwealth Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry under the "Australia's Farming Future" initiative. Our service is also financially supported by the NSW Government.
Since its establishment, RFCS-CW has developed a more flexible model of service delivery to ensure that there is a more cohesive team environment aimed at meeting the needs of clients as quickly as possible.
In March 2008 RFCS-CW was successful in applying for funding to provide Rural Financial Counselling across the designated service area which covers approximately 60% of NSW spanning the area from Forbes to the Blue Mountains, north to Lightning Ridge, west to Cameron's Corner and in the south west, to Wentworth/Balranald (excluding Bourke and Brewarrina Shires).
